are people living in hotter areas of the world more likely to face over heating issues with their xbox 360′s and a potential red ring of death than the ones living in colder regions?

  1. it would all depend on what temp you keep your house at. i live in south Florida. I keep my AC at like 73 and i have never had a problem with any of my x boxes i have an Elite and a regular xbox.
But if your xbox doesn’t have proper ventilation, it will over heat pretty quick.

  2. Well, if you were to leave identical xbox’s running for 5 hours constantly, but with one located in, for example, canada (a cold part) and one stuck in africa. Taking out all the side factors, such as fans blowing on it and windows etc., i think you’d be safe to assume that the one in africa would be the one to face higher overheating issues.

  3. the red ring of death doesn’t play a factor into heating issues. But one’s climate where the system is being stored, i suggest could be a factor.

  4. Actually yes. The company usually suggests what temperature to try to keep the console in. Anywhere hotter than that can have some risks I guess.

  5. it doesnt matter. just put it away from a closed area

  6. If the room temperature your 360 is hotter, then it can contribute to overheating. Make sure that your fan vents are open, and that there is no dust in or on the vent. If you live in a hotter regeon and are experiencing overheating problems you can purchase the intercooler, but I don’t notice any real difference that it makes on my 360.

  7. yes clear 4" of space around all of the consoles sides except the bottom my ps3 and 360 areexactly 4" away from eachother an none have never ever overheated ..ever

  8. Climate can contribute to a 360 overheating. It needs to be in a well- ventilated area with plenty of airflow all the way around it.
