One of my xbox 360′s has the ring of death. I took off the hard-drive and put it on my other xbox. Do I need to include the hard-drive when sending it to Microsoft for repair?

  1. No you dont you only need to put the console in the box, you dont even have to include any of the wires.

  2. All you have to send away is the xbox its self, Take off all accessories and stuff then send it away

  3. No, they send you instructions to detach your hard-drive and then package up the base unit with a box provided and you mail it in.

When your new unit comes back, you re-attach the hard-drive

  4. No I have to send mine in and I got an email from microsoft or xbox support and directions said only the xbox itself. ( REMEMBER! take any game in the disk tray out of the xbox

  5. No you do not need to include your 360′s hard drive in the shipment
