I own a xbox 360 has worked perfect for over a year now, but tonight I am playing it and screen freezers and I restart and get the 3 red lights and an error message when on the screen when I try to start it. What do you suggest I do.

  1. Oh man that sucks…well same thing happened to mine. Luckily Microsoft has extended the warranty to three years so you should still be covered. What I did was give Microsoft a call, gave them my info they sent me a box, I poped off my hard drive tossed the 360 in a box and a week later I got another 360 it was nice because Microsoft didn’t hassle me at all. I guess they are used to dealing with this.

Heres the phone number I used 1-800-4-MY-XBOX . I think I spent like 20 minutes on the phone with them, not to bad.

  2. The Three Red Rings of Death mean your Xbox is dead. The only thing you can do is call Xbox Tech Support and call for a "coffin" to send to Microsoft so they can fix your system or give you a new one.

I saw a video of someone turning it off, pounding on it very hard, then it worked. I doubt it works consistently.

  3. You got the red rings of death, the most common fault with xbox360′s. It’s stuffed, sorry.

Don’t worry it’s covered by warranty, ring MS up and they’ll replace it.

Remember to remove your hard drive because shipping it to them though.

It should take around 1-3weeks to get the replacment.

  4. Send it in to get fixed … thats more commonly known as the "Death Light" if it is all of the lights except for the light for controller #3. Dearly sorry my friend.

  5. Send it back to Microsoft under the warranty or wait for it to cool down , some games cause the red ring like Dead Rising to some older consoles.

  6. what u do is send the xbox in and get if fixed or get a new one if u have a warenty..which u problly should have gotton for such and expensive device
