Things that evade the ring of death would be preventing to put your Xbox on a closed place, trying to keep it cool, or evading to get it really hot. Other than that, don't move the system we it's playing a game... otherwise it will scratch it. P.S The Arcade can replace an xbox but I'm not sure if it replaces the capabilities of an Elite.
