its been 4 days so far. they received it friday and updated to repair in progress by saturday, stayed like that today. Dont say that "2-3 weeks" total time please
I’ve returned 3 systems for repair in the past 4 years and my experience with each was identical. First, you must realize they’re NOT repairing your console. The first thing they do is verify that the issue you reported is correct. They’ll make sure you’re genuinely experiencing the E74! Once confirmed they’ll process the return and set you up with a newly refurbished (previously repaired) unit. Your original serial will be transferred and then your box is on its way back.
In all 3 of my return cases I noticed the online status was not accurate. The first time I returned a box it arrived at my door while the status online still stated in repair. The second time I returned a box I got it from UPS while both XBOX.com and UPS.com stated the package was in transit. In all 3 cases I got my box back within 7 business days of their receipt of it.
Unfortunately, the only REAL way to get an up-to-the-minute status is to contact them directly at 1.800.4my.xbox. Ask for a repair status and they’ll let you know exactly what stage of repair/return your box is in.
When all is said and done the entire process should take NO MORE THAN 10 business days.
Hang in there my friend. And when you get your box back you’ll even get a 1 month XBL gold card for your troubles.
Why wouldnt you want us to reply back with 2-3 weeks time frame? Thats what it is! Some people it takes 2 weeks or less and some 3 weeks… pretty simple.

Hope this helped!
