I got the most hated red ring of death on my 360. I don’t know if there’s a microsoft store that can repair it. I don’t really trust online mailing. And if I send it in, do I need to send it in with my data hard drive or not. I don’t want to lose my gamertag score and stuff.
you have to remove the harddrive when sending your console for repair.
you have to process a repair order over the phone or online for you to get a shipping label that will be used to send your console free of charge..
Well if you send in your xbox 360 to microsoft, you have to keep your hardrive, and i dont think there is any microsoft repair store. Also if you have 3 flashing red lights you get a 3 year warranty and i think its free.
go to xbox.com/support
then call xbox support for help and tell them what happened and they will email you a label for you to print out, then print it out, get a box that your xbox 360 can fit in, remove your harddrive, and faceplate from your xbox 360 and keep them in a safe place, and unplug all things from the back of your xbox 360 and ONLY put your xbox 360 inside the box, put the label on the front seal it up nice, and send it out with UPS. You will get a brand new and kinda better xbox 360 than you had because they send you a already fixed one with brand new hardware. so its like getting a free upgrade. you will get your xbox 360 back in about 2-3 weeks. and remember even if its 1 ring its free, i just told them that mine was blinking 3 rings and went back to 1 ring, and he said either way you can send it and get it fixed for free and with free shipping.
