Exploring some coverage and physics issues that seem to plague the Madden franchise. Based on the videos I have seen of 2010, these problems are persistent. While I do have some fun with this video, I do respect the people at EA Sports who put in hard work on this game. With that said, issues like this void the game of any enjoyment. I stole ApexIsFree’s tags, if he cares I will remove them, he gets more coverage than I would.
this is a good video. I love madden 09. I dont pay attention to much to the small detail. I pay attention to the open receiver, open hole. I just wanna play. It is bad that two guys do the same thing and just stop. I would be mad tooo cause that looks like an easy first down. But Madden 09 is 3 times at better then 08 madden
You are a complete moron. Why would you think a 60 dollar video game is suppose to be realistic. You claim is unplayable yet you play it everyday after you eat your cookies and make videos picking it apart. Get a life

i can see the nickel cb (sapp) stoping and turning back to cover his gap, but i’m with u on the giffin cb. and the rest i dont care
they stopped because the WR was curling towards the Sideline…so the CB covered him inside the curl while the Safety Zoned his outside and pushed him towards the sideline…which means they didnt have to CHASE HIM…he was already concealed against the sideline. all they had to do was watch for his next move OR react to the thrown ball…which they did. thats just Good Defense and Awareness.
im not buying madden regardless…too many recycled issues that have Not been fixed..

its a zone defense so they are watching for a pass the cb that makes the play is guarding the flats while the other db is in a middle zone “the yellow one in madden” and the 3rd db is in a deep zone coverage
man stop bitchin. its a fuckin game not real life. shit this is what you get for sixty bucks. deal with it. shit. maybe they had to deal with other shit like new features and new features(which are awesome) you say its unplayable yet i bet your playing it right now.

EA made terrible steps back in the gameplay on PS3 and 360. I’m still a fan of the Madden gameplay on PS2 because the movements are much more fluid and a little bit more realistic. I actually hate the gameplay on PS3 and 360 and refuse to play the game I love on those systems. I don’t expect for video games to be 100% realistic in every aspect buy I do expect improvements rather than regression on systems that are supposed to be superior. Feelin the in depth analysis on these videos man.

i can play aginst the computer its the humans that makes this game suck. all they do is exploit spots you cant see (cross routes and flats) im talking online. me and my dudes play we turn the pass rush up because the coverage and the pass rush is not balanced at all. we turn the pass rush up we had to turn the game time up to 10 mine because football was based of defense and not offense only. so we had games ending in a 6-9 win with realistic yardage. all becasue the pass rush got turned up.
i agree. I bought 09 and was disgusted. computer will suck the whole game, then suddenly the defense cranks up to super all madden mode. confused blockers, blown coverages, suspect route running….i just couldn’t play anymore. if you did half this crap madden does in a real game, your team would fold up becuz no one would come to the games. i won’t buy another football game till EA’s contract with the nfl is over and someone else can take a crack at the football genre.

madden is only popular due to its solo contract with the nfl. its physics is horrbile on any system. you cannot tell me madden look slike the real deal. its not realistic at all. its graphics are. thats about it.EA doesnt have to worry aboiut competition cuz they have nfl all to themselves. nfl needs to drop the contract to force better games due to competition.and it never will unless ea is boycotted or people start buying different football games.2k sports makes more realistic fb games.
gran turismo is a driving simulation and racers have no complaints so why in the football simulation we have to put up with this bullshit

madden is what happens when all the f**kin stupid sheep buy the game cause of grass and jersey physics instead of understanding the game of football. Which causes companies like EA to keep releasing the same crap. Id say you all know who u are, but u probably dont.
