I recently got a used xbox 360 elite because my old one broke. This new xbox tells me to update as soon as I turn it on , but only when there is a hardrive attached. I cannot play any games at all when there is a hardrive attached because it keeps telling me to update, arcade games included. I’ve asked my internet service provider and e-mailed Microsoft and neither were helpful at all since I’ve already tried the steps that they have suggested. So please tell me if you know a solution to this problem other than buy a ps3 or get a new xbox or getting rid of it.

  1. That’s very odd :/

  2. @Timmah766 I know it’s pissing me off.

  3. My brother got the 360 elite a couple weeks ago but he only had issues with the Wi-Fi but your problem is quite strange.

  4. Well I guess we know why it was used and returned/sold. This is why I don’t really trust used games or consoles anymore.
