My friend really wanted to upload this video about a red ring of death. I think the problem here is maybe over heating from a tight area. O_o.

I’m sure DICE and EA are celebrating with a giant bucket of candy because they had their biggest launch week ever! . That’s right they come forward to announce the sold 5 million copies of Battlefield 3 in the first week of release. They previously announced they shipped 10 million copies and are getting requests for more. Very impressive indeed. . New records were set online with 73 million savior kills, 48 million revives, and 67 million vehicles destroyed. IF you could get online that is. Many gamers particularly found connectivity a problem on the Xbox 360. An EA Spokesperson said, “It is a particularly complex server arichtecture and we continue to work with Microsoft to improve connectivity.” . EA also said they have fixed the issues with Origin stability, noting the first 48 hours of the launch saw authentication issues. THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL! Just getting that out of the way. 08/22/2011 A good friend of mine, who I often help out with many computer problems, started having issues with this console.. So he went and bought a brand new one. So he calls me, because I helped him set up the first console and it worked flawlessly up until now. He told me he was having problems with reading game discs, which I figured was probably due to the amount of dust that literally came pouring out of the thing when I pulled off the hard drive case… So he said, if I could fix it, I could keep it. And in fact, the laser diode itself in the DVD-ROM’s laser assembly was completely blocked by a dust ball! So yay, I just inherited a perfectly working XBox 360 lol… Not that I see myself using it much; I’m pretty sure I’ve made it clear I’m not much of a gamer. But what the hell, I’ll at least make it last! I know of the all-too-common Red Ring of Death or 3 Red Lights of Death due to major CPU and/or GPU overheating, so the system got a good overhaul by me… And after this video, I decided to jump back into it and add a 40mm fan directly to the CPU heatsink, drawing power straight from the 12v line on the console’s power input.. A little noisy admittedly but hey, it probably won’t overheat now lol. So for those of you who do have XBox Live and want to add me, I’m AK49BWL (of course)… Please also leave a comment here with your gamer tag so I at least know who I’m adding lol. Just know I probably won’t be …
