I’ve seen so many online reviews of the xbox 360 that mention how quickly crashes occur. I’m all for getting a 360, I think, if it does work correctly, it has the best games for my taste. So i’m trying to find out if the problems with the 360, were only with the first batch launched. I understand that new consoles will always seem to have glitches, but if you wait for about a year, you usually will get a better experience.
Kevin… When did you get your 360 and where?
DeanOverboard… do you know of any microsoft certified cooling fans for the 360? Overheating seems to be the main issue. I think this might somehow have to do with the huge power supply being laid onto materials such as carpet.
Btw, I also hear its better if the 360 is in a vertical position.
This site is a good reference point for the problems that have been arising with the 360.
But it doesn’t tell me if I were to go to the store and get a 360 today, if I would be throwing my money away for a couple minutes of fun and months of hassle.

Well to start I’ve had my xbox for around a year. Our house doesn’t have central heating and cooling. So our house gets very dusty, very quickly. My xbox has problems with over heating, and scratching the disks. I know if I move it around a lot it will scratch the disks, I hate that. But I was wondering if the Wii over heats. I’ve played a lot of games on my 360, and want to at least get to play GTA IV. But with the shape my 360 is in, I don’t know if It’ll make it. Ive had a Wii in the past, but only for a month. I loved it so much, but I was able to sell it for 400 dollars. But there are a lot of games for both consoles, what should I do?
Oh and buying another wii without getting rid of my xbox isnt really an option right now. Just keep that in mind.
