I am trying to transfer some stuff from one hard drive to another, not everything. I got a cable and I had my old drive in while the new one was hooked up via the cable. I clicked a button in memory that said configure to usb on the new one. I transferred my stuff and now when i attach my drive it dosent find anything.

I got a message saying the system could not access my hard drive and then I got a random system update which none of my friends got! What’s going on ?

My Xbox 360 just had a hardware failure and a friend of mine just recently unplugged my hard drive and used his own to play his game on my console. I just bought a used 360 today and I’m wondering if we were to transfer hard drives back and forth with this new one if it could potentially cause another hardware failure. I don’t know if the hardware failure on my old xbox was because of the transfering of hard drives or if it was just unrelated and a coincidence.

I downloaded the NXE but now my console isn’t reading discs, it wont read DVD’s to save my life and games work rarely if ever. I installed two games onto the hard drive and I can play them from there but that doesn’t help with movies. (and I’m running out of space!)

Did you have these problems and how did you fix them?

I sent my 360 in for repair almost 2 months ago with the RROD. Microsoft repaired it and sent it back only to be lost by UPS on the way to my house. Now after I complained and argued with xbox support for the last month they are sending me a new unit. But I see on UPS’s website that xbox is sending me 3 packages. One is the xbox (8pounds) the others are 4 pounds. What else would they be sending to me???
Its not the cables or hard drive because I only sent the console!
