i just bought a new xbox 360 elite with a jasper motherboard. I have it placed horizontally. I plan on placing a normal fan a few cm away from the console (on the side opposite the hard drive, remember that its horizontal) and I plan on turning it to lvl 3 (max lvl) when i play. I hope that this will help the 360 cool down greatly. Is this recommended? Should i turn it up to the max? is a fan next to the 360 recommendable??? Please will this help the console´s heating problems??

I bought my Xbox 360 around two years ago (hopefully the warranty is still valid!) and only now is it causing some problems. I recently discovered the E74 error message when I turned it on. I turned it off, then back on. Problem solved. But then I got the E68 message- twice. I’m not sure it is serious, but I don’t want to risk losing all my data. I think I should A. Replace my hard drive with a new one. B. Send it in to MS. C. Get a new Xbox. Any thoughts or help?

in Red Dead Redemption the game glitched, i was riding my horse in the air, then the game froze and I had to turn it off. Now every time I go to save it says corrupted save file. Is it the game or the hard drive? How do I fix it?

I hardly use my 360 and it doesnt even have a hard drive. In the settings ive told it to boot straight to disc and not go to the home screen. Its not doing it, and on start up it will say that ive signed in and then freeze for about 30 seconds and then continue to the home screen.
Also, on the home screen it wont say the game name for a while. It just says "Play Game"

Any ideas what is causing this? Im pretty sure that the drive is breaking.
It does play games, its just playing up a bit. I can still click play game and all is well but its just being a bit odd.
