Quick tutorial on how to solve some problems with not being able to connect to xbox live while you’re using a bridged connection on your laptop. The error which this fixed for me was the “unable to obtain ip address”

Trying out the envelop trick
When I use the app on my main/gold account, It tells me to sign in to an Xbox live gold account. When i go use my silver/free account, It lets me use the app and even make and join parties.
