Okay. So I own Gears of War 2 for my Microsoft XBox 360. It’s one of many games I play on XBox Live which in case you don’t know is an online gaming service that connects you with players all around the world straight from your console. My problem is, when I try to play Gears of War 2 on XBox Live a message pops up before I begin telling my my computer has a strict firewall and that it may interfere with playing the game online. My computer and my wireless router interact with my 360 to provide a fully working XBL but with this new firewall issue the process is slowed down dramatically and I am unable to connect with other players. Is there any way to change my firewall settings to keep it from interfering with my XBox Live gaming?

i am not trying to get to XBOX live cuz thwt works fine. the problem is, connecting the 360 to the back of the computer for pictures and stuff. it cant connect cuz it says it has IP address problems. how do i fix it so i can get pics from my computer?

We have a brand new xbox 360 hooked to a sanyo hd flat screen TV that is 1 year old. We dont have an xbox HDMI cable. We have the cable that it came with hooked up to the tv. We are using a DLink WBR 2310 router.

We have 2 problems:

1. Gears of War is lagging bad.

2. Unable to connect to certain friends via xbox live. Can always connect to others. This has been going on for awhile, thats why we bought the new xbox but it hasnt helped. no firewalls on

I’m trying to play CoD4 but whenever i try multiplayer i get ‘you must have an active network connection to play etc etc" or " unable to connect. but i try to play any of my other xbox 360 games and i can sign in xbox live but cant join/play a game on any of them. And I do have a gold membership so this is f***ed up. This problem has arose in the past few days. i’ve played cod4 in the past with no problems. Their technical support and help is all BS and ive also noticed it takes longer than hell to load shit now. like when i sign in it takes forever to load the dashboard or just wont! and when it does it says connect to xbox live as though im not connected but i press the Xbox button on the controller, and i clearly am i see my friends list, msg’s, everything. what the hell can i do?

I just called and they will be receiving my xbox 360 because of the red ring. I got the E 73 error. So the question is that i heard that not only do they repair the console, but they also give you one month free of xbox live. Is this true?

This is a question to all you Xbox 360 Owners. Since it’s release Xbox 360′s have had major malfunctions! The Ring Of Death! The Disc’s being scratched all to hell! Overheating! Then when you get your system back after one of these malfunctions it happens to you again! I had rented an Xbox 360 to check it out and I was not impressed because of quite a few things.
1) The Xbox 360 uses a regular DVD game disc instead of HD-DVD.
2) It does NOT come with a HD-DVD Player!
3) You have to PAY extra for Xbox Live in which you can play against others online.
4) You only get to play it 3-4 months in a year due to all of its malfunctions.

So Why do you even want this major problem system? Because of all of this I purchased a PS3 system and I do not have any problems! in fact here is all the positive things!
1) It is a Blue-Ray game and movie player along with playing DVD’s and PS1/PS2 games!
2) Free online Game Play! No pay to play crap.
3) Full 1080P HD Picture!

I’ve lost about 3 months of xbox live from 2 different gamertags because my 360 broke, and MS’s incompetency had be calling them back 3-4 times becasue a shipping label never came… Could I demand compensation, and how might I go about doing such?

Ok, as of Saturday, my xbox 360 is constantly losing connection to xbox live. this forces us to have to go unplug everything, and wait a while, and then plug everything back in and turn it all back on. what the heck is causing this, and what can i do to prevent it?
