My 360 cannot connect to xbox live. I tried a test and it showed that my cable was disconneted. My cable was still connected from my 360 to my router/modem. The router itself isn’t even recognizing that there is a cable connected. My computer is able to go on the internet, but my 360 still isn’t able. I have restarted my modem/router several times and disconnected and reconnected my ethernet cables as well. Also I have connected the cable into all four ports on the modem/router and it still doesn’t work. Is the problem here with my cable or is it with the 360 itself?

Well I got one for Christmas today and I also got the games Madden 09, and NCAA Basketball 09. Madden 09 works perfectly but NCAA Basketball has a problem. When I put it in it loads and everything but then it takes me back to the dashboard and says it needs to perform an update. So I press (A) and then its says "update not found" visit www.xbox.com/support. I checked there and did not find anything. So I googled Xbox 360 update. I found a link from the Xbox website. It said to put it on to a blank CD or DVD. Or use Xbox live (dont have connection yet) so I had to download them on to a blank CD. Put the CD in the Xbox. Then it said "mixed media disk". It said to go to the media section to view the contents. Did that. Nothimg happened. I am really angry with it and would like to have it fixed today.
Thanks!
madden 09 had the update on the disk

Like at first it was Left 4 Dead 2 that kept kicking me offline now it’s Mafia 2 like, I even formated my Xbox 360 to see if would fix it and now and I updated the game and everything, is Mafia 2 having problems where it kicks people off line because I go back to the dashboard an it works fine.
Ok heres me Dashboard *ping online*, my Xbox Mafia 2 load game *Ping Disconnected to Xbox live*, loads back to dashboard *ping Airborne Theory is online* that makes no sense why would a game do that???

This all started back a few weeks ago when I got my new Xbox 360 250gb Elite. I previously had a 20gb Xbox 360 Pro that was almost completely full of saved game files and such (duh). I borrowed a hard drive transfer cable from a pal of mine and transfered all of my data to the new Xbox. All was fine and it transfered all of my saves and DLCs properly. Here is where my problem comes in. Five days ago I left for California and my roommate down here has an Xbox 360 Pro. In fear that my new Xbox might be damaged from the flight, I decided to transfer my old data back onto my 20gb hard drive and bring that down instead of the whole system. When I got here I was shocked to find out that when I loaded my games I always got a message stating that my DLCs were corrupted or that they werent there anymore. The crazy part is when I looked in my hard drive I could see the DLCs. So I connected myself up to Xbox Live and redownloaded all of my DLC’s again without much trouble. The real problem is when I disconnect from Xbox Live my DLC’s dont work anymore. I just cant possibly understand what the problem is. I even updated the games when I had Xbox Live was up. If you have any input please help.

Okay, so I installed Disc Two of the Oblivion: Game of the Year Edition on my 360. Then I started to play the game immediately after. I was told by my friends and multiple forums that I need to wait 24 hours for the Strange Door for the Shivering Isles expansion to appear, or talk to the prophet in front of the chapel in Anvil to start the Knights of the Nine expansion. Neither of them are available to me for whatever reason! Can anyone tell me what is going on? I’ve made my character wait 100+ in-game hours to see if there was just a delay, but still nothing is happening. I am not receiving any message about the Strange Door. Please help! (Oh, also, as I was installing Disc 2, it said something along the lines of "The newest Xbox Live update is needed to install this game," but it just continued to install anyway. Could that have any influence to why it won’t work?
