  1. Are you able to hear footsteps across the map with the XLC:s?

  2. @eazypoika
Yes. If you are considering the XLC, keep in mind that it is best when used with a TV that has a headphone jack. The XLC is passive, meaning that it does not have it’s own amplifier like the X11 does. If your TV (or home theater system) does not have a headphone jack, then I would recommend that you take a look at the X11.

  3. As “AnimetionGraphics” has asked, “Can someone with walking from the right side of you be heard from that side of the speaker?” Well what I want to know is, the answer to what he asked, You answered in the wrong way. I have the XLC Headset on, Can I hear someone coming up on the left side of me, with the left speaker, or does the sound come out of both speakers?

  4. @OwnageTyler
A stereo headset has left/right separation, so of course you can hear a sound on your left in the left speaker.

  5. @TurtleBeachVideos Would you recommend the XLC for game audio only?

  6. @JukemDrawles89
You can certainly use the XLC for just game audio. It has excellent sound quality. The fact that it has a mic is just an added plus.

  7. I watch Video commentaries on the “Turtle Beach XLC.” Some people say the game volume is kinda low, and some say the chat volume is low? Are these problems from their mistakes with the setups or what?

  8. Can you hear with the XLC:s footsteps infront of you?

  9. @eazypoika
Yes, you can hear footsteps in the XLC.

Remember that because the XLC is not amplified, it is recommended that you use it with a headphone jack on your TV or home theater system. If you don’t have access to a headphone jack, then I’d recommend you check out the X11.

  10. @OwnageTyler
Because the XLC does not have an internal amplifier (like all of our other XBOX headsets), it is supposed to be connected to a headphone jack on a TV or home theater system. People who say that it is not loud enough generally aren’t using the headset as it was intended. Just because you can connect it directly to the XBOX using the red/white RCA audio plugs doesn’t mean you should.

So yes, it’s an issue with the setup of these people who are commenting.

  11. Does this work for the Playstation 3?

  12. @0wn4geK0
The audio will work if your TV has a headphone output audio jack. The mic will only work if you have our PBT Bluetooth communicator.

You would be better off getting a PX21 in this case.

  13. Hey, can you please help me? I just bought this headset and i cannot hear anything threw the left ear. How do i fix this??

  14. i want to get some for ps3 but i need it to be under £20 and ideas

  15. @bazatb123
Sorry, but that’s impossible. The PS3 requires either USB or Bluetooth connection for the mic–and these two are unfortunately NOT cheap to implement into a headset.

  16. @whipndds2
Connect the audio plug to your PC or Ipod and try listening to some music. Does the sound come out of both ears?

  17. which one would you use out of the xlc and the x1′s and then out of xlc and the x11′s?

  18. I got some

    I paid 23 quid

well worth it! awesome sounding and great for MW or racing games !!

  19. @paul13chidori
    X11 are best.

  20. can i use the Turtle Beach Ear Force XLC for the pc?

  21. @wardaddy99
You can use it to hear the PC sound on the headset, but the mic requires a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter for it to fit with your PC mic jack. We designed the Z1 for PC and the XLC for XBOX.

  22. I just bought a TurtleBeach XLC, and for some reason, people can’t hear me when I talk. I speak directly into the mic, but no sound goes through. I’m 100% sure that the mute switch is on “On”. Any help?

  23. @EviLiZCuTe
Please try a different XBOX controller, just in case the jack is loose and not making a good connection.

  24. i cant hear xbox live chat

  25. @MrSupercod1
Please follow the instructions in the XLC user guide and set up the XBOX chat to Play From Speaker rather than PLay From Headset.
