Except the ‘Red Ring of Doom’ for the XBox 360 and loss of control of Wii Remotes, what other problems were there with the consoles listed? Of recent or when they were first released? I have a Wii but I don’t know the troubles that people faced. Help would be greatly appreciated!

360 – Red Ring of Death (overheating) was the major issue; also issues with the drive scratching game discs. The original systems didn’t have the highest-quality connection (HDMI) until the Elite, which was released later, causing some people who bought the originals to be upset at having to purchase another console to get this addition. Playing with/against other players online requires a monthly fee for XBox Live Gold.
The PS3′s main issue was price, at $600 for the best console. The fact it was a blu-ray player pushed the price up and it wasn’t the established high-def format at the time (competing with HD-DVD); some studios had an agreement with HD-DVD, meaning you wouldn’t get a high-def option for that movie. The high price meant fewer players online to play against, and most games that are for both the PS3 and 360 do not take avantage of the PS3′s extra graphics processing power.
The Wii faced inventory problems; everyone wanted one and they werent’ able to be produced fast enough. Problems with grips for the Wiimotes resulted in some broken electronics. The motion-sensing aspet of the Wii isn’t done very well in a lot of third-party games and there are a lot of games that are very poorly made and/or do not integrate the motion-sensing technology well. Most hardcore gamers do not like the lack of hardcore games, with the Wii’s emphasis on party games and the motion-sensor "gimmick" wears off quickly for some. Friend codes try to protect privacy but end up being long, unmemorizable strings of numbers, making it harder to add a friend than the other systems.
i know with the x box 360 it over heated dont know about now
i used to
Well… the Wii’s primary "problem" was that they couldn’t make them fast enough to keep up with demand. It was months before they finally caught up. XD
PS3′s biggest problem was that it was WAY too expensive at launch (and kind of still is…), and the 360 beat it to the market. It hurt sales in a big way.
In addition to the RRoD, the 360 has also had some problems with the DVD drive failing.
I got my Wii only weeks after it came out, and it makes some really loud, high pitched noises a lot. Now I know to wait to get the newest consoles
