This is a question to all you Xbox 360 Owners. Since it’s release Xbox 360′s have had major malfunctions! The Ring Of Death! The Disc’s being scratched all to hell! Overheating! Then when you get your system back after one of these malfunctions it happens to you again! I had rented an Xbox 360 to check it out and I was not impressed because of quite a few things.
1) The Xbox 360 uses a regular DVD game disc instead of HD-DVD.
2) It does NOT come with a HD-DVD Player!
3) You have to PAY extra for Xbox Live in which you can play against others online.
4) You only get to play it 3-4 months in a year due to all of its malfunctions.
So Why do you even want this major problem system? Because of all of this I purchased a PS3 system and I do not have any problems! in fact here is all the positive things!
1) It is a Blue-Ray game and movie player along with playing DVD’s and PS1/PS2 games!
2) Free online Game Play! No pay to play crap.
3) Full 1080P HD Picture!

A lot of people didn’t just buy the 360 they bought the wifi, xbox live, the recharger, extra controller and hddvd drives . So by the time the 360 dies the person has almost 800 dollars invested in hardware alone. They of course like the games too. And you are talking mostly teens and young adults who lack the experience in consumer issues.
We originally bought it because we were testing games, and even if we weren’t we would have just to have had the new system back in 2005. We had 3 bite it. then because we game test we bought the elite …that died a depressing death during a halo 3 party…
Anyway You are right in the respect that it gets trying hearing how it’s the greatest invention since sliced bread when Microsoft has knowingly continued to keep poorly engineered systems on the store shelves. I am still very upset with microsoft for not testing the system better and not trusting that if they had taken their time and released a year later that the halo crowd would have still bought enough consoles to make the 360 a success.
Whoever was incharge of that development and testing process needs to publically apologize to all 360 owners and 360 owners should all get at least 1 if not 2 full years of xbox live gold for free just for being so blasted loyal.
To the guy below The ps3 upscales ps2 and ps1 games to hd so get an hdtv and you’ll see how awesome they really look .
…Resistance, ratchet and clank, call of duty 4 (ps3 version) , uncharted drakes fortune are all to large to fit on the 360 dvd discs. Why do you think that every 360 owner was screaming that Call of duty 4 unfairly favoring the ps3 because the ps3 graphics were better and so were the gaming physics. Guess what with blueray discs they had the room for better graphics. The multiplatform game Dirt. On the 360 it’s over "smoothed" Blurry almost to hide poor quality graphics– the ps3 version is crisp and clear. 50gig blueray not being used my ***.
If you truly owned a ps3 you’d be aware of that…and hate to burst your bubble but guess what Microsoft is going to a real hd game format, wait until Jan.

not everybody has problems with the 360
only like 1 out of 50 of my friends had a problem with it
andonly friends baught a ps3 it messed up with in a couple weeks
I buy all systems because they all have good games. By being a fanboy all you’re doing is restricting the amount of great games you get to play. Enjoy your 1 system and 1/3 of the good games that are going to come out in the next few years.
I agree with you that the 360 has alot of problems. but the support xbox users get is awesome. you may have to pay for xbox live(witch is a low cost of 60$ for 13 months) but there is always updates for xbox live making it better and better everyday. The red ring of death is annoying for alot of users(haven’t had it happen to me yet and ive had my 360 for 2 years) but xbox will fix your console in 2-4 weeks for free. If you also look at the sales, 360 has sold alot more consoles than ps3. there are many reasons why xbox users like the 360, the support, selection of games, etc.

1. Xbox 360 appeals to a wide variety of gamers. Easy going, AMD First person shooter lovers and pretty much uneducated people within the market.
2. Microsoft markets and advertises well, and theres no way in hell Bill Gates is going to say, "Hey folks, don’t buy my Xbox360, cause its flawed…" No No NO! They will say nothing and act like nothing happened.
These are the two BIGGEST reasons why people buy an Xbox versus another system. Because they are uneducated and don’t care enough to research for themselves and they beleive what they see on TV.
3. Personal reasons- for instance, I bought Xbox360 just to play Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4-> worth it? Probably not, but I had the money and I wanted to play those 2 games.
its funny how you seem to defend the rrod. Its a huge problem that Microsoft needs to fix. Sure they extended the warranty but then you have to go through the hassle of shipping it back to Microsoft then wait for your system to come back. Also im sure there is some people out there that never did send there system into Microsoft because they did not know of the warrenty. Even with the rrod Microsoft still has not fixed the problem with there newer models elite, halo, hdmi. Instead of spending billions fixing broken units spend billions on the root of the problem.
I have had my 360 for 3 years no problems, online gaming is top of the class beats PS3 in the dust a million times over, blue ray is over rated and kind of gimmicky. Xbox live friends system is streamlined and easy to use. Gamer pictures and communications are a snap. Microsoft has been in the online gaming industry for many more years than Sony and has only furthered its enhancements that Sony has yet to even touch with PS3. As far as online goes I cant stand Sony. I have had my ps3 sucking dust in the corner and only play RPGs on it. First person shooters go to XBOX 360!!!!
PS3 is destined to have its problems soon enough. Took them forever just to bring it out. Xbox360 is 1080p HD it is also now out with the HDMI. PS3 plays PS 1+ PS 2 games and actually found a way to make them look worse than in the original systems. Xbox 360 plays most popular xbox games and they look better than in original system. not that I want to play them with all thats out now.
PS3 games don’t take advantage of blue ray yet those games will be out in middle of 2008. But doesn’t matter its still disk technology so not much improvement for performance.
I would pay 80 bucks to play xbox live compared to PS3 any day.
Besides they both heat up like hell and both are as good as the some of there parts,, pieces of cheap garbage recycled from China/Japan so seriously your gonna loose either way. Its cheap garbage no matter what the hype. You are just as likely to fry the PS3.
why PS3 sucks
1. the online play is horrible and NOT fun….and thats why it’s free. no ones ever there to play!
2. the system is too expensive
3. the selection of games is just unacceptable, very few
4. the 1080i is there, but if you don’t have the right TV then you cant tell the difference.
why XBOX is king
1. the system is inexpensive and more affordable.
2. the ring of death thing only lasted for a couple months after the release. ive had my system since late 06′…no ring
3. massive selection of games
4. the online is incredible. downloadable content, games, movies, tv shows, friendlists, messenger.
5. the graphics are better looking
now tell me again how is PS3 better.

because it is less expensive, has wayy more games, has XBOX live (which they buy because it is better then the PS3 knockoff) and you can play non-stop for hours on end. the 360′s heat issues are no more. it also gets full 1080p HD picture. btw, you didn’t rent a 360. if you knew anything about the system you would know that it doesn’t come with an HD DVD player. So, basically the reason for this post is that you are a fanboy who has nothing better to do then troll. cheers fuk face. +2 points
