Well, turns out that one of my main cpu boards was really messed up, like almost melted, so I guess that was the problem. Paid some guy to fix it for me since I don’t have warranty anymore.

This is retarded. It happens to me too and I can’t find a way to fix it. Every thing on youtube uses tools I don’t have or can buy. So right now I have a disassembled broken piece of shit laying in my living room.
I took off my hard drive put it back on and it worked. Go into dashboard with hardrive off then put it back ok

@gamr89 go to amazon buy the repair kit. i forgot the name but i think is just one brand ranges with in price get the one with the highest reviews. if u cant find it send me a comment. i bought the $29.99 kit its got everything. it fixed my xbox 360. i dont know if i broke it but after doing the repair my Start button(rf board) no longer had lights. bought one on ebay for $9.99 now im enjoying my xbox its been two months now. its worth the risk

my xbox freezes then works theen freezes again it wont play mw2 or the games on my harive no rings plz help
this just started happening to me last night, it had red ring problems, then i opened it up and fixed it, but that was a week ago, now 3 or 4 minutes into the game it freezes, i dont know what the problem is because i opened it up again to see if it was in the red rings area and it wasnt, where should i start looking or should i throw the 360 in the ground

@dayjob77 Hello just had the same problem a minute ago… Take out your dvd drive and let the GPU cooldown(The little shiny thing with the xbox logo on it) Hope this helps.

Oh yea ur motherboard was messed up. See those wholes on the 360? Those are vents to keep It from overheating but your stand is blocking it and there forced to go back into the 360. Take it out from under and make it stand up. That way the wholes on the bottom aren’t constricted from the floor and the top ones aren’t constricted from the stand. Hope this helped:(

Just yesterday, my Xbox started freezing. None of the home remedies worked. But is it just coincidence that my console is freezing now that Microsoft came out with the new model? I think not.
Think about it. Every few weeks there’s an update that you MUST upload. Is it possible that Microsoft is secretly uploading some sort of virus? Hence, forcing us to buy the new model.
Just a thought…
