i had an array of dots going across the screen. ****TO SOLVE PROBLEM**** – the towel method did work (only for 15 minutes) – i had to send it in to Microtits (microsoft). I got it back within 2-3 weeks instead of 4-6 weeks like they said how long it would take
if u wanna buy a new one than just trade in your xbox but keep the hard drive and but the cheap arcade version
Is there any other way to solve this problem? Because I got the same trouble, I did the towel shit but it only works for a very short time, and I cannot send it to Microsoft, please helpp me!!!!!!! Im desperate!!!!

my xbox has that know but the first time i did the towel trick, it worked for a week then 3 days then one day and now its like for 5 hours. :/ right now its working cause i did the towel trick yesterday.

weird thing i had the dots, 4 restarts and tv switches later 3 RRODs. so I think it is a sign of the 3RROD

dude i just got the same problem and i tired it on two different tv and its the same thing and now i just bought a new cable online and im waiting to see if that works.
maybe its your 360 gpu
the excatct same thing happened to me.. just do the towel trick to force it to have the red rings of death, call microsoft and tell them u got the red rings andd they will repair it for free and give u a 90 day warranty starting when u call, im waiting for microsoft to send me a box to ship it

ye dude i rang up microsoft to send a xbox off the emailed me the lables ect, will they actually mail me a box to use? orrrr do i gotta use any old box i got mate?

I’ve had the same shit happen to me, it only did that when I used the standard red,yellow, and white cables. But I used the red, blue and green ones I would get an image. But there was a 2 inch black line going down the middle of my tv. I’d have the right side of the welcome screen on the left side of my tv and visa versa. I’ve sent my shit in 3 times and no joke it happend again just last night. So I’m ready just to buy a PS3 now. Your best bet is to send it in once and if it happends again,PS3
