i bought a xbox 360 from gamespot last august and in the first 6 days i went through 5 of them each with its own problem, finally i got a good one and then a couple months later it got E74 so i got another one with my warranty. It still is running great , i gave it to my girlfriend and got an Elite last week from the same store. the elite came cracked right out of the box and i had to get another one now a week later it is running hot and sound awful i got to return this one now. i got the 3rd elite and it sounds so loud so i took it back to another gamestop 3 towns over and now this one sounds loud to wtf do i have bad luck or what is going on? AND I ALREADY HAVE A PS3!!!

  1. It sounds like your getting refurbished Xbox’s… Which can end to be crappy anyway.(and if they aren’t refurbished you must have HORRIBLE luck) My advice is opt out and paying extra to buy a brand new xbox =\

  3. Most of the noise from an Xbox 360 comes from the spinning of the disc. Installing the game to your HDD should solve the problem since the disc doesn’t need to spin anymore. Just make sure you keep the game disc because you can’t start up the game without it.

    Other than that, it just sounds like you had a bit of bad luck with the consoles you bought.

  4. xbox 360s fans are so cheap the elite has a 120GB HD trying downloading the games to the hardrive see if that helps
