I just got my XBox 360 about a week ago and I have been playing it a lot (about probably 8-10 hours everday). When I woke up yesterday morning it turned on the first time and then froze about 2 minutes later and whenever i tried to turn it on after that the rings around the power button kept flashing red. It started working about 1 hour later and i played it for like 10 more hours that day. This morning I woke up and the same problem occurred. It has yet to turn on but it might turn on later if i wait. Should i return my XBox or could it be a temporary problem. Please help!

  1. looks like u have da red rings of death. most likely ur 360 is jus overheated . 8-10 hours a day is way too long to be playin it. no wonder da lights came on. jus reduce ur playin time and everything should be good. if this continues to happen it may be system failure so contact the company number the they give u in da manual

  2. You shold have gotten a PS3 or Wii sorry =D
    X-box stinks

  3. dude dont play your xbox 360 for a day keep it cool because it can heat up and mabye get messed up if u want to play that long buy inercooler at like gamestop ebgames etc

  4. ur overplaying it and it needs to cool
if u wanna play it that much, buy a 360 cooler

  5. Return it because, my husband went through the same problem and he did it through Microsoft and he was without an xbox360 for a while until they found out what was wrong wiyh it.The problem was that it would overheat, so they replace it like three times because it keep on happening. Then the last one he got was fine and no more freezing. You have a better chance returning it to the store because you will get a brand new one.
